In Mode Collects; Out Mode Delivers
In mode pulls supported material toward connected storage. It can collect Water, Chemicals, and Crude Oil when the intake reaches the matching liquid, and it can move crops or supported loose items into a Chest.
Out mode takes supported contents from connected storage and sends them toward the target. Use it for planting, item placement, or the delivery side of a farm machine. Reversing the mode changes the job; it does not reverse an incompatible container.
Why a Vacuum Pump Will Not Pick Up Water
- Set the pump to In and connect a manual Button or Switch.
- Connect it directly to an empty Water Container for the first test.
- Place the intake at the liquid edge and adjust its height relative to the visible surface.
- Trigger one short cycle and confirm the Water Container count changes.
- Only after that works, add the longer Vacuum Pipe route, sensors, or a Water Cannon.
Water, Chemicals, and Oil Are Different Inputs
A working shoreline collector can still fail at a Chemical Lake or oil source when the storage path is wrong. Test each liquid with its intended storage route and never diagnose three liquids through one complicated farm machine.
If one apparently valid water edge refuses to register after mode, height, connection, and capacity checks, move the intake a few metres and repeat the direct-container test. Treat that as a location workaround after the build has passed every other check.
