Construction sequence
Do not place the next system until the checkpoint under the current stage is true. That keeps steering, motion, power, and storage failures separate.
Measure the real vehicle
Set an opening that includes steering and suspension error.
- Park the widest regular vehicle in the proposed entrance.
- Add two blocks of clearance on each side.
- Mark the highest loaded point plus three blocks.
Build the moving leaf
Create a rigid panel that cannot rotate into the opening.
- Keep the leaf separate from the replaceable impact wall.
- Use symmetrical Piston attachment points.
- Add physical guides and end stops.
Add controls from both sides
Open, close, and stop the gate without entering its sweep zone.
- Place one Button inside and one outside.
- Route both inputs to the Controller or input logic.
- Place the emergency Switch behind the defended line.
Test the failure state
Keep the base usable when power, signal, or clearance fails.
- Stop the gate halfway and drive neither vehicle nor player through the crush line.
- Use the secondary exit.
- Practice manual access to the Piston and Controller settings.

Read each row from input to output. Name or color the physical controls to match this map before closing the bodywork.

Run these checks with the normal load fitted. If one fails, make the listed physical change and repeat that same test before changing another variable.

Scenario variants
Change the proven baseline for the route or job you actually have. Every upgrade adds a tradeoff, so repeat the test bench afterward.
Use a narrow vertical Piston door
Cheaper but unsuitable for haulers
Add a Sensor only after manual controls work
Convenient, but obstruction logic becomes critical
Add a sacrificial impact barrier ahead of the gate
