Before you leave
  • Fill the empty Water Bucket at the pond, throw one splash at a marked interior fire, then refill it for the next fire.

Where the First Water Bucket Is

Enter the crashed ship first so Getting Started activates, then stand at its entrance and follow the path running in the opposite direction. The nearby pond is grouped with the farming billboard, Soil Bags, seeds, and a planted Tomato. The Water Bucket is placed at the pond edge and receives a quest marker while the ship-fire objective is active.

How to Fill the Bucket and Put Out the Ship Fires

  1. Equip the empty Water Bucket at the pond and use it on the water surface.
  2. Return through the crashed ship entrance with the filled bucket.
  3. Aim at one of the three fires carrying the active quest marker and throw the water.
  4. Return to the pond after the bucket becomes empty, refill it, and repeat.
  5. Continue until all three marked interior fires are gone and Getting Started points to the Master Battery.

The Opening Fire Does Not Need a Fire Extinguisher

The crashed-ship objective is completed with pond water and the Water Bucket. The Fire Extinguisher appears later through Built to Last and Where's the Fire?, so searching for that reward during the opening sequence sends the player into the wrong part of progression.

Uses After the Crash Site

  • Water a small starter row before a Water System is worth building.
  • Refill from a Water Container when the farm is no longer beside a pond.
  • Carry one as manual recovery when a pump, switch, pipe, or watering arm stops working.
  • Use a splash to create a brief opening against bots that react to water.
