Mini Craftbot or Portable Craftbot?

The Mini Craftbot is the tall station at the crashed ship. Extinguish the three marked interior fires, recover the nearby Master Battery, and restore ship power before relying on it for the Connect Tool and opening production. It supports the first-car lesson; it is not the compact emergency station intended to ride on a vehicle.

Use the crash-site station while the quest still points through the wreck, then move regular production to the Mechanic Station. The Portable Craftbot is the craftable 4 × 3 × 3 option for field repairs.

When to Return to the Crash Site

  • Return when the active builder objective explicitly refers to the ship or its early production step.
  • Do not plan a permanent production base around it; the full Craftbot route has a broader recipe set.
  • If an opening objective does not advance, finish the requested craft or placement before leaving the trigger area.
