Structure Is a Tradeoff

A tougher block is not automatically better everywhere. Density changes acceleration, braking, suspension load, flotation, and how easily the Lift can be used during recovery. Use stronger material around impacts and moving joints, then reduce unnecessary mass elsewhere.

Building Checks

  • Reinforce bearing mounts, suspension towers, tool heads, and the underside that meets terrain.
  • Keep the center of mass low and leave access to engines, seats, controllers, and fuel.
  • Test the unloaded chassis before adding cargo or armor.
