Cablebot encounter checks
| Observed behavior | Build consequence |
|---|---|
| Digs toward target | A clay wall is delay, not permanent safety |
| Prefers valid destructible shapes | Protect controls, bearings, and tool mounts |
| Can jump-bite characters | Do not repair while it is still in the service lane |
| 25% Cable Roll | Expect empty kills when farming cable |
Ten HP Does Not Mean Harmless
Cablebot dies quickly once targeted, but its value comes from reaching the machine rather than winning a long duel. It searches nearby bodies and shapes, prefers valid destructible targets, and can attack the working parts a mining vehicle needs to leave the area.
Clay Is Not a Permanent Lockout
Cablebot can request voxel destruction while moving toward a target. A quick terrain plug can buy time, but it should not be the only protection around a parked vehicle, storage node, or exposed power train.
- Keep the driver path clear enough to move immediately.
- Armor the working-part mounts rather than only the decorative body.
- Clear nearby Cablebots before opening the service side.
Cable Roll Farming Is a One-in-Four Route
The normal death roll gives one Cable Roll at 25% and nothing at 75%. Plan several encounters for a required cable count instead of treating each kill as a guaranteed material pickup.
Build Response for Underground Vehicles
A mining vehicle needs protected mounts, visible service access, and an exit path more than a fully enclosed cosmetic shell. Put irreplaceable components behind the first layer and keep low-value armor easy to replace after a bite or dig-in.
