Routes and locations
Red explosive Totebots belong to the expanded 1.0 enemy roster and appear in higher-risk progression areas.
1.0 progression zones
Expect them where the new story and underground combat increase enemy variety.
Confined combat routes
Give explosive enemies more space than ordinary Totebots.
- Do not fight beside valuable machinery or storage.
- Use range and terrain to control the blast risk.
- Check the active route before backing away.
Red Explosive Totebot recipes and properties
- Identification
- Red explosive silhouette among Totebot packs
- Priority rank
- Above standard Totebots and most Haybots in mixed fights
- Safe distance
- Create space before finishing other melee bots
- Drop route
- No Circuit Board or material reward
Call It Out Before the Pack Closes
In multiplayer, the first player who sees red explosive paint should name the target. Split fire across random Totebots while an explosive closes distance is the common failure mode. One focused Spudgun burst beats three hammer players overlapping in blast range.
Distance Is the Mitigation
Forty health disappears quickly at range, but the detonation can still destroy the things around the bot. Back into open ground, keep a lateral escape path, and do not finish the fight pressed against gasoline, seed chests, or a loaded hauler.
- Move fuel and crop storage off the usual raid funnel.
- Avoid doorways that trap blast radius against the player.
- Keep the final shot away from the vehicle and storage line.
Mixed Pack Ordering
Standard Totebots are Circuit Board farm; Red Explosive Totebots are incident prevention. Kill order: explosive first, Tapebots if present, then remaining melee. Haybots can wait if the explosive is still mobile.
- Identify paint and behavior at engagement start.
- Spend potatoes on the explosive before hammering the pack.
- Resume normal Totebot looting only after the blast threat is gone.
Vehicles and Soft Creations
Light frames and scrap-wood attachments take catastrophic damage from close detonations. Park creations outside the expected fight radius, or accept that a win can still cost a rebuild if the bot dies on top of the bumper.
There Is No Loot Reason to Close Distance
Its normal death table is empty. Unlike a Green Totebot, the red explosive variant is not a Circuit Board farm, so there is no reason to rush into the blast area to secure a drop.
