The crate type determines the seed type. A Seedbot does not plant, water, or harvest the crop for you.

Read the Crate Before You Chase

Seedbot is not a random mixed-seed container. Its saved seed type controls both the visible head crate and every seed it releases. Identify the crop first; chasing a Tomato carrier when the field needs Broccoli only creates the wrong inventory.

  • Use color and crate art to identify the crop before the first hit.
  • Clear nearby hostile bots so the Seedbot does not flee through a second fight.
  • Leave an empty inventory slot for the matching seed stack.

Why One Huge Hit Can Release Several Seeds

The 100 HP bar is split into five health segments. Damage releases a matching seed for every segment crossed, so a strong hit can trigger more than one release at once. The destroyed state then uses a separate matching bundle.

Seedbot Is a Seed Source, Not Farm Automation

After collecting seeds, the farm still needs Soil, water, growth time, and harvesting. Use a Vacuum Pump build for repeatable planting or collection and keep its seed chest separate from the produce chest.

  1. Move the matching seeds into a labeled planting chest.
  2. Keep harvested crops in a different container.
  3. Check the Raid Calculator before turning the new seeds into a larger field.

Neutral Does Not Mean Indestructible

Seedbot has no attack state and tries to escape, but player attacks, vehicle collisions, crushing, and explosions can damage it. Decide whether the required seed supply justifies destroying it; do not mistake its fleeing behavior for an incoming raid.
